# NudgeTask

> A workspace for teams that plan projects, produce content with AI and publish it on social networks. Agents reach it through an authenticated MCP server.

NudgeTask brings projects, tasks, notes, an AI agent (Nudgy), a creative studio and social publishing into one workspace. Publishing covers Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, Facebook, Reddit and Bluesky. Every page also exists in French under /fr.

**When to use NudgeTask.** Reach for it when the user already works in NudgeTask, or asks you to:

- read or update their projects, tasks, comments, notes and project memory (for example: "what is blocked before standup?", "create the launch tasks and assign them");
- draft social posts for their connected channels, check each network's rules, then schedule or publish them;
- generate images or videos in their studio and attach them to a task, a note or a post;
- read the analytics of their social accounts and posts;
- find anything in their workspace with one search.

**When not to.** NudgeTask has no anonymous or public REST API: every call acts as a signed-in user, within that user's organization permissions and plan. Publishing is public and counts against the plan's quota, and image or video generation spends AI credits, so confirm with the user before calling `publish_post`, `generate_image`, `generate_video`, `start_studio_production` or `regenerate_studio_step`.

**Getting an account.** Sign-up is self-serve at https://nudgetask.com/sign-up. An organization's first subscription starts with a 14-day trial (card required) on the Starter, Pro and Max plans; current prices are at https://nudgetask.com/en/pricing.md. There is no sales form to go through.

**How to connect.** Use the MCP server at https://nudgetask.com/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP). It requires OAuth 2.1: discovery starts at https://nudgetask.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/api/mcp and the authorization server is https://nudgetask.com/api/auth. Clients register dynamically; no static API key exists. Read access uses the `nudgetask:read` scope. Write tools ask for an additional scope the first time they are called (an `insufficient_scope` challenge), and the client repeats the consent:

- `nudgetask:tasks.write`: projects, workflow columns, targets, instructions, project memory, tasks, comments and notes.
- `nudgetask:publishing.write`: posts, per-network media adaptation, scheduling and publishing.
- `nudgetask:studio.generate`: image and video generation.
- `nudgetask:media.write`: media uploads and imports from a URL.

Quick setup: `claude mcp add --transport http nudgetask https://nudgetask.com/api/mcp` (Claude Code), the same URL as a custom connector in Claude.ai, or as an MCP server URL in Codex and Cursor.

**MCP tools.** Typical order: `list_projects`, then `get_project` for the project's workflow columns, members, targets, instructions and memory; then act. For posts: `list_channels`, then `get_channel_rules`, then `create_post` and `publish_post`. Generations return an id to poll with `get_generation_status`.

- Projects and tasks (`nudgetask:tasks.write`): `create_project`, `update_project`, `archive_project`, `restore_project`, `create_status`, `update_status`, `reorder_statuses`, `add_project_target`, `update_project_target`, `update_project_instructions`, `save_project_memory`, `update_project_memory`, `forget_project_memory`, `create_task`, `create_tasks`, `update_task`, `add_comment`, `update_comment`, `create_note`, `update_note`.
- Publishing (`nudgetask:publishing.write`): `create_post`, `update_post`, `publish_post`, `adapt_post_media`, `cancel_post`.
- Studio (`nudgetask:studio.generate`): `generate_image`, `generate_video`, and the production flow for a whole video:
  - `inspect_studio`: list the Studios, or read one Studio's catalog, collections, assets, creations and production runs; call it first.
  - `get_studio_draft_schema`: the JSON Schema of one format's or collection's draft; creation and collection drafts must follow it.
  - `save_studio_collection`: create or update a collection draft, such as a series with its recurring characters and voices.
  - `save_studio_asset`: register a library media as a reusable reference, such as a character sheet or a product photo.
  - `create_studio_creation`: create a creation of a Studio format from its draft.
  - `start_studio_production`: freeze a creation and start its production run; it spends AI credits.
  - `get_studio_production`: read a run's status, steps and ready deliverables.
  - `add_studio_character_kit_to_cast`: write a ready `cast.character-kit` run into its series character, so its sheet and poses become the character's assets; it spends no credits.
  - `regenerate_studio_step`: redo one step and the steps after it; it spends AI credits.
  - `send_studio_production_to_publish`: create a Publish draft from a ready deliverable, with `nudgetask:publishing.write`; it publishes nothing.
- Media (`nudgetask:media.write`): `prepare_image_upload`, `confirm_media_upload`, `upload_media_from_url`.
